Welcome to the confluence of the arts and cuisine. Many composers,
painters, choreographers, and other creative sorts exhibit an intense
love of eating, drinking, and cooking. (Creative sorts often
create for all of the senses, not just the ones for which they are most
celebrated, and their creations for the olfactory organs can be pure
delight.)
This is a place for you to share your favorite anecdotes, moments you
have experienced first hand or have heard about or read in books and
journals. Click here for an email field to send us an email with
these and we will take the best ones, photoshop them playfully, and
paste them in one of the chez lusory journals for the world to share,
with due credit to you for sharing them.
chez lusory is where such delectable moments of confluence can be
experienced. It soon will be seeded with some of our favorites:
recipes from composer/philosopher John Cage, sketches from the “road
journals” of composer Mikel Rouse (whose love of "road food" makes him
an unofficial chez lusory roaming reporter), composer Morton Feldman's
anecdotes about the informal 1960s artist gatherings at N.Y.’s Cedar
Bar, just to name a few. We hope this first, um, course will
inspire members of the lusory community to contribute
similarly-inspired morsels.
